Addictions and Mental Health

We understand that sometimes the road to recovery can be made less fearful if made part of your established routines. Samaritan Daytop Village’s Outpatient Treatment Programs allow you to continue to work, remain in school, and stay in your home and community while receiving treatment confidentially for mental health disorders, and drug and alcohol dependency.

Our Outpatient Treatment Programs cater to those with recent or current substance use disorders who do not require residential treatment. Individuals receive one-on-one counseling and group therapy services.

Based on an individualized service plan, our treatment teams are prepared to deliver addiction counseling, coordinate health and mental health services, and provide education and employment assistance. To support recovery for families, our Outpatient Treatment Programs also offer on-site childcare and parenting workshops.

Additionally, we offer innovative care models in an outpatient setting for patients with a specific set of treatment needs. Among them are federally funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics and State-funded Comprehensive Integrated Opioid Treatment Services. At several of our transitional housing sites, we also offer a mobile outpatient unit called Assertive Community Treatment.

01
Self Check

This quick, confidential questionnaire is designed to help you reflect on your relationship with drugs or alcohol. There are no right or wrong answers—just an opportunity to honestly assess how substance use may be affecting your life, health, and relationships. If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, it may be a sign that support or further conversation could help. You’re not alone, and help is available.

02
Admissions

We understand that every person’s path to recovery is different. Whether you come to us through a partner referral, a court mandate, or by your own choice, our first step is always an in-person intake with our compassionate team.

During this interview, we take the time to learn about your personal history, your goals, and your reasons for seeking treatment. While the process includes important paperwork and assessments, we move quickly to determine the best placement for your success. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and strengths.

03
Outpatient Treatment

We offer comprehensive Outpatient Treatment Programs designed to meet your unique needs. Our programs are built to support your physical, emotional, and mental health as you work toward long-term wellness and success.

04
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Samaritan Daytop Village operates two licensed Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) clinics in the Bronx, providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Methadone, Buprenorphine, and other approved medications. In addition to daily dosing, clients receive primary care, psychiatric services, therapy, and case management. Both clinics are fully accredited and offer specialized support, including Directly Observed Therapy for conditions like tuberculosis.

05
Residential Treatment

Our residential treatment programs are specifically designed for adults with long-term substance use histories, offering intensive, structured care grounded in the therapeutic community model. Through a combination of individual and group counseling, peer support, and self-help strategies, participants are guided toward developing healthier, prosocial attitudes and behaviors.

06

Recovery from addiction is a journey that lasts a lifetime. Our Recovery Services Division provides a comprehensive support network for New Yorkers committed to living a life free from drugs and alcohol.
