Veterans
Samaritan Daytop Village works with respected partners in the veterans community to meet the needs of veterans in our programs. Partners include the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, which fund our core treatment and support programs for veterans. We work with organizations such as the Vietnam Veterans of America, Jewish War Veterans, the Tuskegee Airmen, United War Veterans, and the Veterans Healing Initiative to enhance our service offerings. Samaritan Daytop Village has also played a role in helping New York State develop the Veteran Treatment Courts, which provide substance use treatment as an alternative to incarceration.
