Vice President of Development
Jill Poklemba is the Vice President of Development at Samaritan Daytop Village. She oversees fundraising for the agency including private foundation grants, major gifts, planned and individual giving, fundraisers and capital campaigns.
Ms. Poklemba has nearly 20 years of experience working in development, public policy and communications with organizations focused on social change. Prior to joining Samaritan Daytop Village, she served as the Vice President of Development and Communications at The Fortune Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting successful re-entry and alternatives to incarceration. Before then, she directed the Communications and Fund Development Department at STRIVE International, which offers programs to reduce chronic unemployment.
Jill also served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies and the Advocacy Coordinator at the New York Association of Independent Living. For the NYS Assembly, she served as Legislative Analyst for the Committee on Social Services and Committee Assistant for the Committee on Children and Families. Jill began her career as a Program Associate in the Communications & Speechwriting Office of NYS Comptroller Carl McCall.
Ms. Poklemba obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy from Rockefeller College at SUNY Albany, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the College of William & Mary.
