Scholarships Available at CASAC Training Institute
Are you seeking a career as a credentialed alcohol and substance use counselor (CASAC)? The CASAC Training Institute (CTI)at Samaritan Daytop Village has scholarships available for its CASAC courses.
CTI offers credentialing and recredentialing courses for both aspiring and veteran addiction counselors. Currently, there are 88 students enrolled in the school’s classes. Among them are agency staff who receive training for free as an employee benefit.
An approved Office of Support and Services (OASAS) educational training provider, CTI offers:
- 350-Hour CASAC Course - $4,375
- 100-Hour Fast-Track Course - $1,062.50
- Recredentialing - $12.50/hr.
- 18-Hour CASAC Preparation (Quarterly) - $150
CTI provides students with an affordable and flexible training option. Classes are interactive and taught on Zoom continuously. Based on interest, CTI offers rolling admissions for the 350-Hour CASAC Training course.
In addition to the course offerings, trainers provide students with personalized career support services and networking referrals. Plus, a host of resources are accessible through CTI’s Google Classroom.
Thanks to funding from the New York State Opioid Settlement Fund, CTI currently has 40 scholarships to offer new students. For consideration, applicants must:
- Complete the following forms:
- Complete an Employment Verification Form (EVF), if working in an OASAS/OMH/DOH-certified setting
- Send three letters of recommendation; two if submitting an EVF
- Submit all required forms and letters of recommendation to training@samaritanvillage.org
